“Our journey to parenthood began over 13 years ago. Never could we have imagined that it would’ve been filled with such enormous feelings of hope, anticipation, fear, pain, joy, and finally the gift of grace. We endured years of meds, shots, surgeries, IUIs, miscarriages, and IVF cycles; only to be left with empty arms and broken hearts. We have been blessed with an amazing life, and it just didn’t feel right to ask for anything more. But we did; we kept asking… for God to heal our broken hearts and send us the child that was meant to be ours. 

We decided to move forward with egg donation and were so excited to hear that MCRM was starting their very own program, Matching Miracles. We had so many questions, and honestly, although we were grateful for the opportunity, it was still a bit of a grieving process. “How and/or would we explain this to our child and family/friends?” “What would his child with her look like? Would our child ever look like me at all?” So many questions, so much fear, but in the end, we relied on our faith, and the support and expertise of our medical team and Matching Miracles. They answered every question, calmed our fears as best as they could, and believed when we doubted. 

We like to say that Dr. Ahlering and our team at Matching Miracles are our "2nd favorite" miracle makers… our prayers were answered, and we met our amazing Grace a few months later! Our hearts are full, our dreams have come true, and we couldn’t be more grateful!”
